
ASSIRM is the Association founded in 1991 that brings together Italian companies that conduct Market Research, Opinion Surveys and Social Research.
The goals of the Association are:
- Presidium of knowledge
- Development of institutional relations to protect the interests of the sector
- Enhance the role and social function of market, social and opinion research
- Foster and promote the growth of the quality of service provided by its Members
Member companies are private and independent companies committed to the ASSIRM Code of Professional Ethics and related Quality Standards, inspired by the ISO 20252 industry standards and updated by the Assirm Quality Committee.
The Research Code regulates the activities of Members and integrates that of Esomar, the International Market Research Association, with standards relevant to the activities of research companies.
Since 2005, the Association has created a Study and Training Center with the purpose of developing the professional culture and best practices of Market and Social Research, and promoting its image and value to customers and the public.
In its institutional activities, ASSIRM collaborates with universities and various associations of researchers and scholars, such as Esomar.
It is a promoting member of Fondazione Pubblicità Progresso and is also a member of Confindustria Intellect, the Italian Federation of “communication, consulting, research, web publishing,” which is recognized as a 1st level Association of Confindustria.
The Association is the point of reference for the market research sector in Italy and organizes the annual Assirm Marketing Research Forum Conference https://www.assirmforum.it/it/about/
The Assembly meeting held on December 14, 2023, elected Enzo Frasio to the presidency of ASSIRM.
