INVITO – Cross-Border Research Challenges – Webinar – 10 Maggio – ore 17.00
When the European Court of Justice (ECJ) on October 6, 2015 ended the 15-year old U.S.-EU Safe Harbor program, which provided a framework for companies based in the U.S. to transfer Europeans’ personal data for processing in the U.S., it spotlighted the challenges faced by survey, opinion and marketing researchers in conducting their work across international borders, not just between the U.S. and the European Union.
This special joint CASRO/EFAMRO/ESOMAR/MRA webinar on May 10 at 11am Eastern time will examine
(1) the proposed replacement for the Safe Harbor – the U.S.-EU Privacy Shield – with an eye on the legal and regulatory challenges facing its survival and what differentiates it from the old Safe Harbor and
(2) the impact from other growing restrictions on international data transfers and privacy beyond Europe and North America.
This webinar will be co-hosted by CASRO, EFAMRO, ESOMAR, and MRA, and is open to the whole survey, opinion and marketing research community to attend. It is a follow-up to a joint webinar on October 16, 2015 on the demise of the Safe Harbor.
